FAB:materials reinvented - Algae bioplastics

Why produce water bottles of a material that takes up to 1,000 years to decompose when you can use biodegradable agar

Even though an algae-based bottle will take some time to degrade, it’s still more sustainable than using oil-based plastic. Not only due to decomposing time, just making the plastic bottles requires millions of barrels of oil, and produces millions of tons CO2.

Learn how to make your own Algae-based bioplastic at Copenhagen fablab.

This workshop is open to all and conducted in English.
Refreshments will be provided.
